Diving in Baa Atoll

Diving in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is a bucket list destination for many divers. Baa Atoll is one of the most picturesque atolls of the world and one of the best locations in Maldives to see whale sharks and Manta rays.

Baa Atoll is particularly well-known for unique biodiversity in its beautiful coral reefs, typified by swim-through caves with beautiful overhangs and abundant marine life. You can expect an enormous variety of fishes and healthy corals throughout each dive; an experience of guaranteed splendor from the moment you put on your dive gear.

The world famous Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO protected marine area, is located right around the corner of Kamadhoo. During the feeding season (May/June to October/November) it is the best spot to encounter a huge number of Mantas and if you are lucky enough even whale sharks. Nowadays, only snorkelling is allowed in the bay but the chances to meet these gentle giants during one of your dives are still very high.
